THE WATERMELON PAID FOR.VinceuDfH, Ind., Jan. 19—Ei-8her-iflf Howard Orndorff received twenty-five cent* from Ed McConnell, of Alexandria, la , to pay for a watermelon he took from the former’s field in 1894. McConnell at that time worked ou a farm for a neighbor of Mr. Orn-dorff. One hot day he climbed over the fence and took a watermelon. Though Mr. OrudortT never mined it, MoOonnell nays that he could not real until he paid for the melon.
