A SURPRISE BIRTHDAY DINNERA errand surprise was given Mrs. Mamie Deatrick on January 8th at her home three miles south of New Middletown it being her forty-second (birthday. While she and Mr. Deat-(rick and children were at church a {large number of their friends and neighbors gathered in at their home and when Mr. and Airs. Deatrick returned the table was groaning under the weight of good things to eat.Those present were: Mr. and Mrs.Owen MoPhillips and children, Mary. Frances and Fletcher, Mr. and Mrs. Adam Hall and son, Lawrence, Mr. and Airs. Henry Potts, Air. and Mrs. Fred Shewmaker and son, Cleatus,PAir. and Mrs. Sheridan Deatrick and daughter, Irma May, Mrs. Schickel, and son. Francis, Afr. Wm. Gunter-! man. Dr. Deal us, Air. and Mrs. Harry Funk and sons, James, Oscar and Kenneth. Airs. Robert McFarland, Misses Alary McFarland, May Gunter-man, Mary Schickel, Frances Potts, Mary Deatrick, Faye Shewmaker, Rose Hall. Ettamav and Helen MePhillips, Helen Shewmaker, Margaret Deatrick, and Janie Deatrick, Messrs. Dewey Redden. Manford Ferree. Joseph and Charles Schickel, Beveridge, Wilford, Joseph and Clarence Deatrick, Clyde and Owen Shewmaker and Owen Bernard MePhillips.All departed wishing Mrs. Deatrick many more happy birthdays.One who was there.* _A PARTY.
