Square dance club elects new officersOfficers for 1985 were elected when the North Star 8 Square Dance Club held its first dance of the year Saturday, Jan. 12.Presidents are Mary and Zoel Ramsey; vice presidents, Jerry and Mary Hudgens, secretary, Yvonne Parsons; hosts, Jack and Tootie Dannger; reporter, Elizabeth Boyer. The board of directors are Carl Hagan, Gene Prater, Arthur Gibson, J. R. Gatlin and Jack Danner.Caller for the dance was Glenri BennettSeveral guests attending including guests from the Paris Squares dance club and the Hugo Square Dance Club.Jerry and Mary Hudgens and John and Jerrie Huffman, hosts and hostesses for the dance, served refreshments.The club dances each second and fourth Saturday night of the month. AH square dancers are invited. The next dance will be called by Ray Wheelington.Beginning dance lessons are in progress at the club each Sunday at 2 p.m. Everyone interested is invited to attend.
