The historically correct depictions that form the framework represent conditions that existed inlarge, U.S. cities between 1855 and 1929.In the years before coordinated social services, many poor families found it impossible to support and shelter all their children. Some of these children were either abandoned or chose to leave the family setting for what they hoped would be a better life on the streets.The hardships and ordeals experi-still very much alive.Playing the 10 main castaways in the Franklin Civic Operetta Association production are Elise Frey, Hannah Pratt, Leah Sanders, Mike Yamell, Olivia Beals, Hannah David, Amy Carlson, Sara Hoffman, Hannah McCarthy and Monica Miller.The modem day students are Kedric Reiser, Amelia Eiger-McPartilin, Geralyn McMullen, Emily Kovacs, Marissa Witherup and Destanie Armagost.Other players include Thomas Greene.
