Bobby Darin to Sponsor Chess Tourney in OctoberLOS ANGELES (UPI) -Bobby Darin plans to sponsor achess tournament next October jbelieved to be the richest ever held.“We are positive that this will be one of the greatest tournaments in the history of chess.” said Edmund Edmondson, executive director of theU.S. Chess Federation, in announcing the tourney Monday. The prize money for the competition will total $25,000, and the entry list includes 16grandmasters from 12 nations.
