Fishing Contest At Ice CarnivalHONEOYE — Avid fisher-men, who don't mind ice, snow and cold, will converge on Hon-eoye Lake Jan. 24-25 for the an-nual ice fishing contest,’ part or the Honeoye I^ake Winter Carnival.Cash prizes and trophies will he awarded for walleyes, pickerel and perch caught in the lake on the contest weekend. Presentations will be made at the carnival grounds at the north end of the lake at the ninth annual carnival Jan. 31 and Feb, 1.Contestants must register at the Cralsley Rait Farm, 210 West Lake Road, between 6 a.m. Jan. 24 and 3 p.m Jan. 25 The registration fee is $1.The latest time for weighing in catches is 5 p.ra, Jan. 25.Last year the largest fish caught during the contest was a 6^-pound walleye. Before the competition got underway, however, Clarence Ruppcrt of Honeoye snagged a fish weighing i'/i pounds.The angler whose tieup catches the largest walleye this year wilt receive $50 and a trophy. Second largest walleye will he worth $25 and a trophy.The largest and second largest pickerel will bring $50. and $10 respectively, plus trophies.
