Latla HD ClubMeets aid NamesCommittee HeadsThe Latta Home Demonstrationclub met last week in the home economics room at the high-school.The meeting was called to order by Mrs. M. L. Stegall, president. who presented thoughts for the day, “Good Things To Learn.’ Mrs. Wesley Brantley, who also led group singing and the devotional, was presented the past-president pin by Mrs. Stegall.During the regular business meeting, the ladies voted to cooperate with the school in sponsoring a benefit basketball game to raise funds for the polio drive.Chairmen and' co-workers on the standing committees were named by the president and exe-membersiney are: program, Mrs. L. J. Thompson, Airs.Herbert Cooper and Mrs. Joe Lovelace; membership, Mrs. Lee Andrew's and Mrs. Aivin Arter; special, Mrs. W. P. George, Mrs. James Roper and Mrs. Charles Bigham; exhibit, Mrs. Roger Blake, and Mrs. Walter Smith; citizenship and civil defense, Mrs. A. L. Graham, and Mrs. Eva Mae Kerr; 4-H Club, Mrs. Leon Cecil, Mrs. A. W. Brow-n and Mrs. Orville Maxev.Project chairmen are: foods and nutrition, Mrs. Trov Lafevers; clothing, Mrs. Ralph Taylor; home management, Mrs. J. F. Wells, and family life, Mrs. WesleyBrantley.In addition, Mrs. J. F. Wells gave a discussion on the importance of time savers in home sew-Haring and Mrs. Ralph Taylor discussed the importance of planning work. In the absence of Martha I leaderwhichMote, a round-table discussion on sewdng problems was directeu by Mrs. L. J. Thompson, programleader.After the meeting w'as adjourned, the hostesses, Mrs. M. L.
