licioiiH refreshments were served.Ladles of the Methodist Missionary Society Entertain on Monday.The ladies of the Methodist missionary society entertained at a delightful social gathering on Monday afternoon at the church in honor of Mrs. H. N, Johnson and Mrs. R, M. Brown.Bidding the guests welcome were the president, Mrs. Ayers and the six circle leaders, Mesdames Paul Davis, John Staples, Ben Smith, S. L. Barksdale, P. D, Neilson and Clyde Connell.Entertaining in detail was the colorful program which was arranged by-Mrs. Add Thompson. A group of musical numbers designed to per!ray the social life of * the foreign population among which our missionaries work in America, were featured by Mrs. Galen Davis in becoming Spanish costume, Mrs. Ben Rush in the costume of a native Chinese girl, Miss Eugenia Seated as an Italian princess, Miss Katherine Tooke in the garb of an Italian girl and Masters Junior Rainwater and Joe Davidson were cleverly disguised as little negro boys. Joe and Junior brought their dogs along and as the four sat and rested for a while, Mrs. Abe Gann and Mrs. Add Thompson sang a negro spiritual. Miss Annie Ruth Brown added much to the pleasure of the guests with her piano selections.A lively game of conversation followed, and there was a “kitchen contest the purpose of which v, as to discuss the four brightest minds present. This proved impossible, so it was decided to award the trophy to the has I. lady who would rise and announce Unit she was the brightest person present. Then, to Mrs. P.
