FAREWELL PARTY HONORING PAUL HOLDER WHO LEFT FOR SERVICEA farewell party was held at the home of Mrs. William Brown, five and a halt miles south west of Car-bondale, in honor of her son, Paul Holder, who left Saturday, January , 9, for Camp Grant to enter training j i in the United States Army. There 1 i were eighty present. j JThe evening's entertainment be- ■ gan by the young people singing “There’s a Star Spangled Banner i Waving Somewhere” and “God ] Bless America” and was followed i by a splendid talk by the Rev. Lire- j ly. The remainder of the evening : was spent in playing games and the ! chief attarction furnished by Earl i Young with his group of fourteen ■ mice on their whidl-a-ma-jig.
