Frank Neff is pastor. 1x7 new additions to the church were had, Mr. Neff preached at the morning meetingon Christianity a Family Religion. At the conclusion of his sermon, an alignment of virile Arguments, 78 persons responded to liis cftll for convert* and member*. They included men whose wives already are members. The evening sermon was by Hev. J. V. Walker of the Byers Avenue M. E. church. It was an old-time Methodist meeting, resulting in 40 additions to the church.With the largest congregation which ha* ever attended Sunday school at the Byers Avenue M. E. church, services were held in Shoemaker hall. Fifteenth and Main stroota. At both morning and evening services the hall was taxed to it* capacity. Fifty-three naw members were received into the church, and five conversions wrought. With the exception of Wednesday night, revival services will be conducted for the remainder of the week. They will be led by the Rev. Mr, Elayer, pastor of the church.Prayer was the theme of a sermon preached Sunday at the First Christian church by the Rev. F. F. Walters. At the evening service he delivered an address on Tempi# Building. Twenty-sevenmember* were enrolled on the church's roster, making a total for last week of 47. Services will be hold every night this week except tomorrow evening.Thirteen baptisms Mid four conversions were had at both services Bunday at the Central Christian church. At the morning session, the Rev. L. Xj. Combs delivered n sermon on Christmas Application. In the evening he spoke of the Three Fundamental Principles of Religion. In all last week 80 additions to the church were had. He viva 1 services will be conducted this evening, Thursday and Friday night*. The Rev. Mr. Miller of Diamond, Mo., who has accepted a call to the Central Christian church, willpreach Friday night.At the First Congregational church 3»J new member* were received Sunday morning. The Rev. In the church parlor* Wednesday afternoon the Woman’s Home Mission Society will hold a prayer and praise service.At the South Joplin Christian churchforty conversions were reported Bun-day. More than 300 person* attended the Sunday school class. Revival services will be held every night this week.The pulpit of the North Height* Presbyterian church wa* filled Sunday night by Dr. R., T. Fullerton of St. Louia. Thirty-six new member* were taken into the church. The morning and evening services were well attended.
