E^^Suits have been commenced against certain parties in this county, known as ‘Home Guards/ for the unlawful arrest, or kidnapping,, of Hon. Andrew Humphreys, Wm. Holsten and | others. They profess to have had no personal ] malice towards these gentlemen, but were act-1:J ing under orders from higher authority. Their misfortune, then, is that they should have put; themselves under the authority of such unprincipled principals.
