HERE FOR PURDIN FUNERALtProfessor G. V. Baskett and wife we re here from Gorin, Mo., yesterday, he having1 cbme to act in the capacity of undertaker for his decease! friend and former neighbor, Mr. Nat. C. Purdin. We had the pleasure of a little visit with Prof and Mrs. Baskett at the Commercial Hotel where they were stopping for dinner. It will be remembered that Professor Baskatt was one of the principal speakers at |the Linn county, annual Old Settleis Reunion here two years ago. He was , born and grew to manhood in Linn I county and has many friends here.
