Mike Hollander, who is directing the show, * savs there aro many star parts still unassigned and that he needs all the j talent available. iIRehearsal will be held tonight at 7:30 in the banquet room at the Amarillo Hotel,AI Beattie, professional show man of Denver who is spending the winter I in Amarillo, is agisting Mr. Hoi-j lander and will have one of the leads j in the minstrel. Frank Buckingham, I Bill Smith, Bill Gatton, Cecil Eaton 1and W. H. Grover are others well j known for their theatrical ability who jwill be seen in blackface. j.Mr. Gruver is being billed by Mr.Hollander as “the tallest end manm'in America.” He is 7 feet, three |inches. JMrs. C. F, Smith and Mrs. Oma1 Link Rowley are- among popular en* | tertainers in Amarillo who will take | part in the show. Mrs. Smith will j sing a number of negro spirituals | and Mrs. Rowley has a special “blackface” act that is expected to : prove a big hit, !AH members of the Lions club and , others who are willing to assist in tne show ar.e urged to attend tonight’s rehearsal.
