January 5, la musical concert was presented !at the Hartford school auditorium by students from the Department cf Music at the University of Ala* jbnmn. The young artists were Miss |Ruth Moore, soprano: Miss Joan iCoiillctte, cellist: Aubrey Red-inmnd «nd Paul Newman, pianists.| The entertainment was spon-i sored by the Hartford chapter of tP-T. A.Dr. Hubert Strickland, son of | Mr. and Mr*. Hubert Strickland | of Hartford, has recently been added to the staff of the Tippins Hospital at Hartford, Dr. Strickland was graduated from the Hartford High school as valedictorian o f his class. He received his B. S.. and M. D. degrees from Emory University where he became a member of Phi Beta Kappa and AOA. At the Naval Hospital i n Pensacola Dr. Strickland served a senior interneshin and later lie resided in Birmingham where he was associated with the .Jefferson* Hillman Hospital. On December 20 Dr. Strickland was released from the U. S. Naval forces.» m +
