Delay ordered in ferry lineAssociated Press — Residents of Peaks Island in Casco Bay will now have to wait until .Tuesday for* the’ start of emergency ferry service' to the Portland mainland, the Public Utilities Commission. announced Friday. •The PUC statement came less that 24 hours after the regulatory, agency granted Capt. Elliot Winslow of Southport permission to operate five round trips daily between Peaks Island and Portland from Monday to Friday of next week.But on Friday/- the PUC said Winslow had previous .commitments with the Bath Iron Works for Monday, and the start of the service to Peaks Island passengers would be delayed by one day. - . .. •
