fIIla Rehearsals are under way forIn “Pun For You”, the local talentid show, sponsored by the Eufaulai. Lion's Club, to be presented ont-A Thursday and Friday, January 15th and 16th at the High School auditorium for the bene-fit of the Eufaula Civic Clinic ;e Fund. The production is under a the direction of Reba Homan of s- the Empire Producing Company y; of Kansas City, Missouri Miss ty Homan states that sh§ is grpat-je; iy pleased with the cast and a anticipates one of the -finest ie shows that she has ever direct-a ed.:e The cast includes over thirty n people who are to impersonate famous radio, stage and screen lZ \ stars. It is billed as the most ;r hilarious hook up of home talent 'fj head liner show ever presented in this city.One of the scenes will be j! Breakfast in Hollywood. The t cast will be Bill Cowling in the ic role of Tom Brennaman, Master sr of ceremonies. He will introduce g the following men representing^ Hollywood glamour girls:' Bill d Shepherd as Mae West, Harold 101 Elsey as. Gypsy Rose Lee, Maurice Pipkins as Marlene Dietrich, Robert Hill as Betty Grable.In this scene. Tom Brennaman . not only introduces/men dressed as wom^n to imoerso-nate movie stars but he noes into the audience, tries on and awards prizes’for the goofiest one present. Therefore, the women who are planning to attend “Fun For You” are urgpd to wear the silliest millinery creations possible in rr^cr win nylon hose ?vrd rt-hor gifts. Following the,’0l3ii of the original Breakfast in Hollywoor' show this scene will include awarding the wishing ring, presenting a corsage donated by Bebb’s of Muskogee, to the eldest lady present, and giving a gift to the Good, Good Neighbor Of Eufaula.Any resident of this community is eligible to ote for the Good. Good, neighbor, whc should be any man or woman who has done outstanding charitable or civic work for individuals or the community a4 large. All letters nominating the Good, Good neighbor should be addressed to the Lion's club in pare of this „ paper. A Lion’j committee will judge the letter; and the Good, Good neighboi will be notified ,so he or she|. may appear . and, be presented to the audience. One Good Good neighbpr each night..Other scenes will be an nounced by Royce Edwards as yon .Guy Mouse;will be Joe Kelly and will conduct the Quiz Kids, who are taken from Junior High classes Uncle Ezra is Jr. Caesar, Minnie Pearl will be played by Dorothy .Shropshire; The Diike of Paducah, Tommy Atchison; Dr. I. Q. will be played by Rev. E. M. Walker, who will give dollars and candy bars to those knowing the answers to his questions; a barndarice group from the local folk dancers, Columbus Casey as. the caller, barndance band conducted by H A. Shropshire; All Christy as Uncle Sam Texanria Strebul as Columbia; Barbara Kirby, Dorothy Inez Burnham, Janet Buie, Patsy King, Shirley Moore. Helen Carter, Marie Moland, and Sue Foley as the dancing Rbckettes. Mrs. Joe Head as Pianist; David Hedges as Frank Sinatra; Marjorie Busha as the Red Cross Nurse.Singing commercials will be done by Pee Wee Green who will do “Chiquita Banana; “All | ] Purpose Rit, Lloyd Emmons as the baker and John Shropshire as the butcher, S.
