There were about 400 persons assembled in the club when the entertainment began at 7:30. On account of the work involved in preparation for the evening’s entertainment, the joint installation of officers, to have been held in the afternoon, was omitted.A musical entertainment was the first feature of the evening’s program, Commander C. G. Conn presiding. The orchestra consisted of Rex L. Buell, pianist; Henry W. Geiss, clarinet; Hobart Davis, flute; Jacob Geiss, cornet; H. M. Geiss, violin, and Harry Bliss, drums. Both the introductory and concluding numbers of the program were given by the orchestra, and their efforts were gratefully appjauded. A violin solo by H. M. Geiss was well received, and a piano solo by Miss Gronert elicited an encore. Harvey Crawford then sang a sailors' song and was compelled to respond to an encore. H. A. Davis followed with a flute solo, rendering several popular army airs, and as an encore played “Old Folks at Home.” A saxaplione solo, “Love Me, and the World Is Mine,” by H. W. Geiss, and a selection by the orchestra, concluded the mlisical program.A A- n ^/lt; f 1 nfl rvfl A1 W 4 ll /~\
