A Tournament at Bia:k Creek.A tournament was held at Black Creek on Tuesday Dec. 23d. The largest and one of the best behaved crowds we have ever seen assembled here was present. Disorderly conduct ( f any kind was especially noted for its absence. The exercises commenced with an address t* the Knights by 1*.L. Woodajd, Esq. Five tllt-§were allowed each Knight. A. W. Walston succeeded in catching thirteen rings out of a possible fifteen: N. R. W hitley, twelve; W. A. Brooks, five; C. F. Harris, seven, R. Winstead, ten. In conjunction wiih the honor of crowning the Queen of Love aud Beauty and the Maids of Honor, a riding saddle and bridle was given to the first; a buggy robe to the second, and a buggy whip to the third moat successful Knights, A. W. Walston crowned Miss Sallie Fool, of Contentnea, Qoesn of L veand Beauty, and received the saddle and bridle. X. R Whitley crowned Miss Lula Yelveiton, of Stantonsburg, 1st Maid of Honor and received the buggy robe; R. Winstead crowned Miss Minnie Hart, of Wilson, 2nd Maid of Honor and received the buggy whip, and C. F. Harris crowned Miss Nona Taylor, of Black Cre» k, 3d Maid of Honor. Mr. Woodard presented the crowns and prizes to the successful Knights. R, L. Paschall, J. M. Taylor and David Daniel were the judges. B, Winstead was Chief Marshall. Mess. Etyin Davis, T.
