Allie M. Mowen, 45. widow of George Mowen, committed suicide at her home ih Glenridge about 10:45 last night by shooting hereelf through the heart with a .38 calibre revolver, death occur-ing instanaly. She had been in falling health lor *ome time and recently suffered a nervoua breakdown occasioned through despondency over the death of her hueband and her ill health, members of the family testified at the coroner's inquest held at the Bogc Agey funeral home this moaning.The witnesses testifying were her son, Robert Mowen, visiting here from Detroit. Mich., and herson-in-law, George Tyler, who with hia wife, made bis home with Mrs. Mowen. The testimony of thlt;: two was to the effect that Mrs. Mowen had been extremely despondent for the past few day® more so than ever yesteroay ornoon and evening.
