Local rock group cuts Good Clean albumMmongi QphapThingsBy Ken V/itllamsWskThe New iSxpbession, a rock-and-roll group comprised of local talent, has recently cut an album with Jewell Records of Mount Healthy.The album- is called “Good Clean Rock Roll.” Joe Meister of the group called the other day to announce the album's release, and he also sent a complimentary copy.The New Expression features four Hamiltonians and a member from Pleasant Run Farms.Local talent includes Jim Meister, 729 Noyes Ave., Mark Meister, 265B Hilda Ave., Dick Richter, 3121 River Road, and Gerry Richter, 1177 St. Clair Ave, The fifth member of the group is Ron Kell, whoresides at 11250 Goodfield Court in the Pleasant Run Farms.-Meister said The New Expression has been playing in the area for about 10 years. We Just decided to do our own album,” he said.Tlie title song is the same as the name of the album. Other numbers Include Devil Eyes, Long Long Way,” “What Wculd I Ever Say, “My Love, “Don't Have TimB Id Lose,” Together and Girl of My Own.”:. '• .Now! don'tcjatm to know an ounce about music, but 'I listened to the album and enjoyed it, f do know that Ihegroop is strong on instrumentals, arranged by the New Expression.All the selections .were written by Mark Meister, who is also the lead vocal Meister also plays lead guitar, acoustic guitar, organ, piano and harpsicord.Jim Meister plavfi bass and acoustic guitar, while Dick Richter handles drums and backup vocals.Ron\Kelt, who produced the album with Mark Meister, plays electric rhythm guitar, acoustic guitar, bass, sax and sings backup vocals.Gerry Richter handles backup vocals as well as organ, trumpet and flute.For the curious, the age of the group ranges from 26 to 33.The group asked for several persons to be recognized for their assistance, including Harry Urschel (recordist and mixdown helpist), Nistler Auto, Joe Schriever, Baker Photography, The Studio, Mike Sandrieh, Bill Schafer and Dave wall.For those interested in obtaining an album, call Jim Meister at 868-8624.WLWT-TV (Ch. 5) hai made a few change* in Its program lineup.This week only at 6:30 a.m. “Peyton Place will air.
