Among the lot was a painting called The Blue Pool.” For three weeks it was'admired; and discussed. It was supposed to be ot the futurist variety.“The Blue Pool” was elusive. The picture was simply a daub of blue and brown paint. At the top was a dark blotch and several while specks dotted the horizon.Spectators were puzzled and confused. So two noted artists, Mathias Alton, of international repute, and Will Howe Foote of Old JLyme, Conn., explained the picture.
