Bassett, tho committee of the local Elks to arrange J'or participating- in tlic bowling- tournament at Green Bay, have about completed all arrangements.It is planned ihat about 100 Elks bowlers and j'ooters will go to Green Bay, leaving here in a special car on the morning- oil the 20t.h of this month over the Green Bay Western road.The Wiscujisiu EIlcs were the first fo arrange for a state tournament. The plans are worked out with such perfection that the idea has taken hold all over the country. The Michigan Elks plan to hold their first tournament this year at Pori Arthur, It is claimed that the idea is spreading rapidly and within a year 01* two every state will have its Elks' bowling tournament. It is predicted by local Elks that within five years there would bn a national tournament ,ior Elks and indications appear to point to the consummation of such a plan in even shorter time.the Green Bay gathering promises to eclipse any stale tournament ever held in Wisconsin. There will be fifty prizes for expert bowling and fifty for goodfellowship events.
