Creel, 3603 Twenty-sixth: Neil Holcomb, 504 Ave. M, and Mrs. C. W. Neefe, Big Spring. Mr. and Mrs. Holcomb have 20 grandchildren.Holcomb has been a member of the Odd Fellows more than 44 years, having joined the North Fort Worth lodge No. 103. Dec. 1, 1906. He has been active in the Lubbock lodge since about 1913 and is a former noble grand.At the time they bought the house on Ave M, then a three-room house to which they added two rooms .there were only a fewbetween their home and town. Hord underwent surgery Tuesday' morning. Hospital attendants said Hord was “resting well” and Mrs. Hord was “doing nicely.”The family home is at 2808 Twenty-first.ahouse,” a grade school building later moved and attached to the_ high school, was situated near their house. There are now only a few vacant lots in that section of Lubbock. Holcomb owned six lots, and still owns four.Mr. and Mrs. Holcomb moved to Lubbock county from Mitchell-county in 1910, making the trip by covered wagon. They lived near Shallowater several months before coming to Lubbock.
