They will be particular about the character of the plays presented and will allow nothing on the stage to which any exception can be takes by the most refined and critical audience. Mercantile Hail has always been a popular place ef amusement and will be still more so in the future, under its new name of Koet’s Opera House. As arranged and improved, with good stage and fine scenery, it is the most complete theatre in Alton. • '
