BERLIN. IYour correspondent- in company j with quite a number of young men ; from Knoxville, visited the fair and j oyster supper being held by the Red Men. A large number of Persons were present each night, and finan- j eially the fair was a success. At the , confectionery and fancy table. Mrs. j Eliza Works, M. A. Leopold and Virginia Hogan waited on their many buyers. The oyster and ice cream tafile was managed by Mrs. Lizzie House, Emma Blessing, Annie Mangrove, M. Bail, Mr. Fred Schaefer, Ed. Sigatoose, T. B. Leopold, M. Hagan, and John It. Ball. The fair postofHce was doing a flouridiing business, with Misses Leonie Leopold and Martha Sigafoose, two of Berlin’s fair lassies, as Postmistress. The proceeds of the fair are to defray the expense of repairing their hall.A literary society has been organi-| zed, and meets on every Wednesday I night in the hall.Reported for Thj: News byE. C.
