Jerry Renkens feted with farewell partyMr. and Mrs. Jerry Renken and sons were honored Sunday, Feb. 22, with a farewell party planned by Mr. and Mrs. William Renken, Jr. and and Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Burge of Sioux City.The Jerry Renkens are moving to Beresford. S.D. where they have bought a farm.The evening started when Phil and Janet Renken treated Mr. and Mrs. Jerry Renken to a dinner at the Golden Pheasant in Remsen.While the two couples were out to supper, relatives, friends and neighbors gathered in Le Mars in the Eaglesclub basement for a surprise party.Attending the party were Mr. and Mrs. Gerry Burge. Debra and Denise Renken. Karen Renken. Pat and Michael Schultz.Mr and Mrs. Oswald Muecke. Mr. and Mrs. Terrv Van Roekel. Mr. and Mis Marvin Van Roekel and Randy,Mr and Mrs George Ludwigs.
