Union Offers ScholarshipTo Promote Interest In Good Neighbor Policy,Further Better RelationOffering four years at college for thebest paper on “What Inter-American Cooperation Means to My Country”, the Pan-American Union, through the Inter-American Forum, hopes to increase the interest in the Good Neighbor Policy and to foster among Ameri-1 an students a better understanding of the South American Republics.Final Date, April 14I lie length should be not more than 700 words, and all students of high school grade in the United States are eligible. The closing date for the paper is not later than April 14.The grand award will be a four-vear university scholarship valued at $6,000 providing tuition, travel, and ill other reasonable expenses at any college in the Western Hemisphere. At• east two years must he spent in a Latin American university or college.Other Awards 'In addition to the scholarship, there are other awards—$50 and a certificate of award, $25 and a certificate of award, and a silver medal.1 he best two papers will be sent to the Virginia superintendent of public instruction. The grand prize will be selected by a board of judges consisting of distinguished citizens from the other American Republics.
