ELLISV1LLE JUNCTIONOpening the meeting of EllisvilleJunction Home DemonstrationClub, held recently in the home of Mrs. Betty Allen In Ellisville, was the club president, Mrs. Lamar Valentine. The hostess gave the devotion, stressing loyalty and devotion as two requisites In any line of endeavor.Members answered the roll, called by Mrs. Lester Burus, with new recipes. During the business session, reports were heard and the women were urged to enter club contests. A preview of the March meeting was given by the vice president, and a discussion was held on “good reading” with books listed which are available through the club.Mrs. Valentine told of the District Home Demonstration Council meeting to be held at Mississippi Southern College in March. She asked that at least six members from the club attend.The educational topic, Am I » Oood Citizen” was presented by Mrs. Allen. Highlight of the program was a demonstration on stenciling by Mesdames Arnold Walters and Ann Holcomb. It proved so interesting that the club votedto devote an entire day to the project.Mrs. Frank Black was welcomed as a visitor. The club will meet in March with Mrs. Bura Walters.
