K Fiaugber chose a novel manner of eu lertainlng. The last of the series was a military party and was g veu on Thursday afternoon and military ecoutreinent were dominant every where. As the guests entered the hall obey wore confronted with a mounted uannon*and cannon balls and as thev-went from room to room swords sabres aud guns were in evidence, while the rooms throughout wore decorated with bunting and nearly a Kiore of (lags in graceful folds brought out iho effect prettily. There were 57 guests and six handed euchre was played. The losing persons moved after each game and a bugler, in the person of Arthur Honnold stationed upstairs, gavcjthe players notice to move by sounding a note.The party was the must elaborate and enjoyable eveut of the season. Mrs, Walter Spotts was awarded the high score prize, a beautiful cup and saucer, Mrs. Fred H. Becker securing the second prize, a dainty paper kuife tied with red white and blue ribbon. Mrs. J. G. Bmaltz won the all cut prize and was awarded a cut glass jei-iy. dish and Mrs. B. B. Dalton was presented a toy gun on low score.
