Fitting Up a Park.i The Pekin Water Works Co., are arranging their grounds with a view ! to having the lovliest and best ar- j ranged park of its size, in the state, j They employed a landscape artist of . wide experience to lay out the 1 grounds and then submitted the i ; plans to twenty different nurseries j• and florists. Mr. Wirt, proprietor j 'of the Alpha Nursery, ordered his i ! manager, G. M. Oakman, to go over1 and get the order. He took C. H.• Figley and went over and landed it i i for their company, and not at the! lowest figures either. Mr. Oakman! and his men have certainly done an ;|1 enormous business since Sept. 1st, j | having sold over $18,000 worth, to j : be delivered at LaHarpe, Colchester, 1 ! Macomb and other nearby points. Mr. O. attributes their unusual sue-' cess to the fact of their having sold ' only in territory where the men and i company were known.
