Pupils Strike Over FiringsSOUTH POINT, Ohio (AP) -Students staged a strike at the South Point High Sehool Tuesday to support three sehool officials fired Monday night by the board of education.The Lawrence County high school, with 800 students on a spht-schedule, had fewer than SO students of 350 attending morning classes. Most called in sick, school officials said.Students say they will strike three days, one day each for the fired educators. Teachers, were 011 duty.The board voted 3-2 to adopt a resolution termininating the contracts of District Supt. Joseph Dials, high school principal Robert Debo and Burlington elementary principal Don Brammer.The board suspended the officials from further duties pen-dug expiration of their contacts. The contracts of Dials md Brammer expire July 31, [973, while that of Debo expires his June.The school board accused the hree of obtaining and using notor vehicles for personal use vifhout the knowledge and con-lent of the board. The cars vere loaned to the school offi-:ials by local automobile igencies without charge, as a jood will gesture, for use in ichool duties. However, the joard complained it would be â– esponsible for the vehicles in ;ase of accidents.Dials also was charged with ?urchasing dictating equipment vithout consent of the board, md with refusal to cooperate vith the board.
