Municipal Auditorium tonight will be turned into a big top as tha Jaycees present the first clr-cus costume ball, one of the high-llghts of the I960 Pageant of Sarasota.Feature of the ball, open to the public with tickets available for table reservations or spectator seats at the door, will be the announcement of the 1960 elections of circus greats'* to the Circus Hall of Fame.Five names will be revealed for the first time as those chosen forthe circus honors which are similar to baseball's Hall of Fame.Pictures To Be ShownPictures of the five will ’be unveiled at the ball prior to their being hun* in the Circus Hall of Fame on the North Trail. The letter from B. J. Palmer of the national awards committee revealing the names of those to be honored will be presented by Charles Fernandes, Chamber of Commerce pres-dent to Victor Sabattinl, president of the Circus Hall of Fame who in turn will read the names.Decorations in the auditorium will create an atmosphere.of the interior of a big top by the use of colored parachutes hung from the rafters. Nets with 1,000 balloons will of course be unhooked at the climax to present a sea of popping gaiety.Acts from the Cristiani Circus will be presented in a center ring to be located Just in front of the stage. Chairmen of the ball are Lee M. Silversteln and Doug Whitney.Events ScheduledTomorrow pageant activity will start off with shuffleboard andlawn bowling at the civic center and the sports car show at St. Ar-mands Key starting at 10 a.m.At noon the circus acts will be presented at 8outh Gate and a 1p.m. parade of new automobiles will move from Main Street to St.Armands Key.
