With 0. J. Gingrich, Manford Davidson, Joseph Whisler, Oscar Beutler and S. C. Edwards, members of the county council, present, that body met in special session last Friday forenoon and gave its approval to the purchase of trucks and tractors by the county commissioners, to be used in building and maintaining the roads of the county. The commissioners, though privileged to make the purchase, first sought the opinion of the council. Five hundred dollars was voted to the county farm, the money to be used in establishing a herd of thorough-bred hogs. The board of children’s guardians was voted $1,000.
