The garage sale will start at 8 a.m. and end at noon.The fish fry will start at 10:30 a.m. and end at 1 p.m.Fish fry dinners are $6, and tickets may be purchased at the door or from any NHS band student.Heritage Festival prepares for Country Music showThe Nederland Heritage Festival Country Music show will rock the Central Middle School Auditorium at 7 p.m. Saturday, March 7.Tickets are $5 with advance purchase of $4.This year’s headliners include Pate Tatum and “Pure Texas” along with Mary and Marilyn Arnold, Justin Adams, Amanda Romero, Taylor Bellow, Kasey Griffin, Virgil Hafwaker, Murray Kimble, Cole Howerton and Jacob Hollier.Alton “Boo Hollier will serve as the master of ceremonies.The show is sponsored by Philpott Ford and Wells Fargo.Cat in the Hat to bring ‘ Reading Relief’ program to LanahamMike Tobias/The NewsGretchin Marshall, left, sits and reads a book with her 3-year-old son, Dillon. Dr. Seuss's popular Cat in the Hat will be on hand Feb. 28 at Langham Elementary as a part of the Reading Relief tour.
