RHODE ISLAND REDThe Rooster That Led to Convictionif Chicken Thief.BIufTton, Ind., Feb. 16.—The jury In the case of Chester Wysong, charged with stealing chickens from the Hastings farm, west of the city, returned its verdict yesterday, finding the defendant guilty. His fine was §5 and costs an a jail sentence of one day. The jury was out nearly seventeen hours before they came to an agreement.Wysong was arrested at the home of John Fryback, in the west part of the city, several weeks ago, after a Rhode Island Red rooster, which he claimed, had been identified by Odus Hastings as stolen property.
