probably had a larger acquaintance or more friends.ELKHORN.I wish to reply to Mr. Johu G. Bush, as he is a well noted man in our community for his hospitality. 1 drat wish to inform the readers of your paper that he is laboring under a falsehood in regard to the title of the Stilwell farm, and I will kindly inform him to atteud to the title of his own form. The writer understands that Miss Emma Barrow was paid a pleasant visit to-day by three youug gentlemen. Miss Eiuma is teaching the West Irelaud school. These visitors were known as James Pooling, James Carrigau and John Pooling, of Buckhorn. Mr. Jack Pooling gave quite an interesting sjieech to the school, after which he was elected chairman. Now for the race; but we are rather inclined to think that James G. will come out ahead, as he purchased a due twenty-seven year old dlly at Garter's sale on yesterday. Mr. J. G. has broken several watch crystals this wiuter, and nothing short of Jimmy cau ever pay the debt. James L. will lie left like the lonesome dove to hunt liis mate. Never mind*James, the best of friends must part.Frank Htilwkix.is iGlmi
