Martha Washington Club MeetsThe Martha Washington household science club met Wed., Feb. 12 at the home of Dolly Brown.The president opened the meet ing by all singing, 1 Need Jesus,” and giving the pledge to the Flag. She then gave an interesting talk about the clb, the year books were handed out. Clairbell Buchanan read the collect. Minutes were read and approved; roll call was answered by showing their needlework hobbies. Penny drill was taken. It was voted to donate to Cancer fund,heart fund, March of Dimes, and Retarded Children's Fund.Maggie Alcorn gave the Dev-otions she read the scriptureson faith and gave a reading and closed with prayer readings on famous men were read as follows: Lincoln by Dolly Brown and Clara Howe, Daniel Boone Velma Cash, Longfellow, Ethel Able, William Harrison, Madge Crum, Edison Maggie Alcorn.Cards were signed and sent to Eva Woods and Effie Williams. “Happy Birthday” was sung for the ones with birthdays in Feb. The March meeting will be at the home of Madge Crum. Co-hostess is Evelyn Haiiam, leader. Clairbelle Buchanan at the close of the meeting ser-leader, Clairbelle Buchanan.At the close of the meeting delicious refreshments were served by the hostess.
