Basketball ScoresThe postponed games of Friday. February 8th were played on Monday, February 11th in Birtle. Birtle teams regained some of their dignity from the previous Hamiota games when the girls defeated Fox- 1 warren 30-20 and the boys gained a 83-1 victory. Foxwarren boys were without several p||yer§ due to hockey games.Scorers were: Foxwarren — Sylvia Dunham 8, Lorraine McKinnon 8, Lorraine King 2, Margaret McFar-lane 2.Birtle — Darlene Moar, Margaret Dreilich 8. Diane Elash8, Betty Mitchell 2, Carol Newsham 2 and Ivy Hoffman 1.In the Boys game scorers were as follows: Foxwarren: Alan Williams jI. tBirtle: Grant Wotton 6, Cliff , Davidson 5, Geoff Fulton 4, K. IMiniota was host to the Birtle lt;team on Thursday, February 14th. ] Both games were scrappy affairs , with the teams fighting for second 1 place in the western half of the 1 league.
