The Texas Lady serves an enchilada plate in three sizes and a variety of burritos, all reasonably priced.Representing the Italian culture are Victor’sItalian Restaurant, Rome Inn Italian Restaurant, Gondolier Italian Sandwich Shop, Gregory’s, two Pizza Inns, Pizza Hut, Big Daddy Pizza and Ricco’s Italian Restaurant.China is also represented in the University area. The Chinese Eggrooll Stand and The Original Charley’s Eggrolls are both on Guadalupe just past 27th Street.German culture is a little more widely represented in Hansel and Gretel Restaurant, located on 30th Street at Fruth, Schlotzsky’s in Dobie Mall, and Scholz Garten on San Jacinto atOrange Arcade and Playtime Arcade on the Drag 17th Street.all offer thise games. If you’re looking forfrisbeeAMERICAN FOOD PLACES monopolize the area: two McDonald’s, two Holiday Houses, Hamburgers by Gourmet, Burger King, Mr. Burger, Royale Burger, Jack in the Box, Wendy’s Old-Fashioned Hamburgers, Dairy Queen and Martin’s Kumbak Place (Dirty’s).Also located in the University area are Bonanza, Nighthawk, G-M Steakhouse, Steak ‘n’ Stein, Arby’sRoast Beef, two Tower Restaurants, two Steak ‘n’ Eggs, three SamWitch Shops, Bert’s Bar-B-Q, Ali Baba’s Sandwich Shop, Church’s Fried Chicken, 2-Js, The Delicatessen, Thundercloud Submarine Sandwiches and a snack bar in Nau’s Pharmacy.Les Amis Sidewalk Cafe is French in name and atmosphere only. Any concrete area such as the sidewalk around Memorial Stadium or the West Mall will do.On the cultural side, take a tour through the Texas Memorial Museum (24th Street and San Jacinto) or the Lyndon B. Johnson Library.And for an historical excursion, take a tour of the Capitol.
