They were enroute from a cross-country flight to Florida in a F-89 jet Mr. and Mrs. Lee Dobbs and Jim Hawkins accompanied them to Scott Field Sunday where they witnessed their brother’s take-off.★ ★ ★Mr. and Mrs. Jeff Buck, Mrs, Walter Grounds and Miss Jean Hammer, all of South Bend, Ind., spent the weekend in the home of the Buck’s son-in-law and daughter, Mr, and Mi's,' William Chapman Rackaway in this city, Mrs. Grounds is the letter’s sister.★ ★ ★Miss Phyllis Newell of Waltonville and Miss Dorothy Tish of this city have returned from Atlanta, Ga„ where they attended the annual Sweetheart Banquet held by Atlanta Christian College at thd Piedmont Hotel in that city. The former was escorted by David Chapman and Miss Tish was escorted by Donald Pritchard. They report that theweather was marvelous with flowers in full bloom,.★ ★ ★.Congratulations are In order for James C. Black ofWaltonville. He will be 70 years old Wednesday, February 20, according to a note received from his wife today. Sally , wished him many more birthdays in the future and she Is mailing a birthday card to him.
