1HAS GRANDFATHER AND MOTHER'S BONDSMEN, ARRESTED FOR ASSAULT.Miss Opal Hunter, a prominent young girl on the streets of Rochester, and whose name figured often in the trial of her mother, Mrs. Tincy Hunter for running a house of ill fame this summer, again broke in the lime light by having her aged grandfather and the man who protected her mother, and went her bond, Henry Ault, arrested on a charge of assault. The case was taken to Ewing's court where Mr. Ault was put on his own bond and will come to trial on Feb. 15.Miss Hunter charges that Henry Ault, who will soon be 90 years old, struck and beat her maliciously on Feb. 7 and she wishes him prosecuted for assault. Miss Hunter wouldnot say anything about the allegedassault today, but it is said that she is very bitter against her grandfather. Mrs. Tincy Hunter, her mother, is named as the chief witness. The action will come as a surprise to the people of Rochester for Henry Ault, who is one of the city's oldest and most respected citizens, stood by Miss Hunter’s mother, through the long summer months in which she was being prosecuted for running a house of ill fame, in one of the most sensational trials of the county and one that had the ‘‘crowned heads'* of the city trembling for their' homes and self-respect. Mr. Ault is said by neighbors to have always taken an interest in his grand daughter and they suppose he was merely reproving her, an action they claim should be taken. Mr. Ault was never before arrested on any charge and this charge placed against him by one of his own relatives is most unfortunate* although it is believed no reflection will be cast on his good name when the case comes to trial.
