Mr. Dickinson was born in Thornton. Yorkshire, England, and emigrated to this country in 1849, and had since that time made Ws home in this county, and for the hist 20 years had resided permanently in Lynnville. A widow and two daughters survive him—Mrs. Gibbs, of Scott county, and Miss Josie Dickinson, who lives at home. He was a brother of Piercy Dickinson, well known in this city and all over the west end of the county. Deceased was a highly respected citizen and a Christian, having been a member of the M. E. church for many years, and no man in that section stood better before the community which he had honored by his presence for so many years.The funeral took place from the M. E. church in Lynnville at 1:30 to-day.The services were under the auspices of the Lynnville Odd Fellows, prefaced by a few remarks by Rev. Thornton, Jr., of this city. The ritual of the order of Odd Fellows was duly observed. The pall bearers were John Gibbs, of Winchester; /Thomas Schofield, of Jacksonville; A. P. Shirtcriff, William Combs, Charles Roddy and J. 11, Gill, of Lynnville, all Odd Fellows.I’lTlldl'F.Mrs. Frederick Puthoff died suddenly at her home on South Main street Thursday night about half past 10o’clock. Mrs. Puthoff has been down town at her place of business bothThursday morning and afternoon. Between the hours of 1 and 2 o’clock Thursday afternoon she grew sick and after consulting Dr. E. F. Raker wenthome. She lay down to rest and latein the evening became unconscious. She continued to grow worse until she died about half past 10 o’clock. Mrs.Puthoff is survived by her husband. Frederick Puthoff, and her two sons, Frank and Frederick McDougali.
