RIVERTON.it.)February IS.On Tuesday evening, February 11, the M.U. Society of Odd FeUowa connected with thie township held thfir anniversary at the Riverton Hotel. In the naming they formed them* ■elves in procession on horseback, dreaeed in thesr regalia, and took a ride to Formater'i { in the evening they partook of a splendid dinner provided by Mine Ho»t Ferrier. M. Moorhouse, Eeq, M.P., oocupied the Chair, and Dr. Mudie the Vior-chsir. The usual loyal and other toasts were drunk and responded to. intermixed with songs, and the evening paaeed off apparently to tlie satisfaction of all prcaent.Mr. Burton and his troupe arrived here yesterday, the 12th instant, and with their usual rapidity soon formed the circus, which was a great attraction in the evening, drawing persons from sercml nnlrw around the township. The confidence that seems to pervade the minds of the public that they shall get the worth of their money at Burton’s Circus, secures a gool attendance generally, which was the result last eroding. The astonishing teals of Mohammed Cssim, end the performances of the whole company and their well trained horaea, were the admiration of all that were assembled.
