Artist to be honored at gallery SaturdayThe work of Robert Lofgren, whose paintings are featured this month at the Chanute Art Gallery, will be recoginzed Saturday at the gallery.The artist’s parents, Mr. and Mrs. Linus E. Lofgren, 417 N. Forest, from 10 a.m. to 4 p m. will receive guests for their son, who resides in Chicago.Over 40 paintings in several media are on display, including one grouping of “Chanute Nostalgia from the Forties.” Visitors will be encouraged to vote for three paintings they especially like.Members of the art gallery board of directors will be present and free coffee will be served There is no admission charge.
