Joins StaffCity HospitalDr. Shojl Fase of (he Bigelow-Fowler Clinic in Lethbridge, has been appointed by the Lethbridge Municipal Hospital beard to the associate medical staff of the hospital.Dr. Hase, bom in Osaka, Japan, obtamed his pre-medical education ‘at the Medical College of Kyoto Imperial University in Japan, graduating in April, 1946.He look his medical schooling at the same university and graduated from there in 1950, taking his internship then, at Osak Red Cross Hospital in Osaka from May, 1950 until April. 1951. He also interned at St. Michael's ■ Hospital in Lethbridge from October. 1957 until September, 1958, being granted his Alberta licencein January. 1959.He specialized in gynecology and obstetrics in the Osaka Com-municationa! Hospital for three years and at the Doi Hospital, Hyogo. Japan, for one year, and was granted certification as a specialist of gynecology and obstetricsIn research activities. Dr. Hase has done work, in artificial insemination for sterility, effects of female and male’hormone combination upon the development of the hypoplesia uteri, response of the body weight of. the female premature baby due to male hormone, effects of cow - thymus extract upon the iterlne-carHn-oma and has also studied the sperm activity In reference to the carbohydrate metabolism.
