Encell and family, we have hitherto not had the heart to say anything about the affliction that has come upon both within the past few months, and even now we refer to it only from a sense of duty to correct many idle rumors and untruthful stories that are prevalent in the country—one of them even going to the extent of saying that be bad attempted to commit suicide. Nothing farther from the truth could be manufactured, and it is to correct such reports that we now make the statement in the case, publio.It has been well known to his intimate friends for a number of years past that Mr. Encell has been in failing health, the seat of bis trouble being his stomach and head These troubles seemed-to grow more and more serious, and Mr. Encell himself frequently told his family that his ailment was more serious than was generally supposed, and claimed himself, at times, that he was on the verge of insanity.
