Hometown premiereFalling From Grace, John Mellcncamp’s acting and directing debut, will have its premiere in his Indi-ana hometown of Seymour, where he filmed the movie.The Feb. 18 premiere is a benefit for the Southern Indiana Center for the Arts, founded two years ago by Mellencamp. Mellencamp won’t attend the premiere; he is expected to attend the opening in Los Angeles the next day.Mellencamp plays a country singer who returns to his hometown with his wife, played by Mariel Hemingway, to celebrate his grandfather’s 80th birthday and to come to terms with his family.Mellencamp’s parents and his brother, Joe, who plays a band leader in the movie, are expected to attend the Seymour showing.
