Family Life Expert Talks To Child Study Groups“Helping Children Get Along was the topic of an address given by Miss Vola Hunt, University of Wisconsin family life specialist, at a meeting Tuesday of Winnebago County’s three child study groups.The joint session was held at Grace Lutheran Church. Winchester. About 50 representatives of the Grace Lutheran Mother’s Club, the Tiny Tots Mother’s Club of the Town of Vinland. and the Friendly Mother’s Club of Mtkesville attended.Leading the discussion were Miss Hunt and Miss Lois Klus-meyer, county home demonstration agent. Following Miss Hunt's address, a film, “Of Skates and Elephants portraying family life, was shown.Miss Hunt brought out the importance of parents cooperating in the discipline training of their children thus guarding against the possibility of the children playing one parent against the other.Following the meeting, refreshments were served. Table decorations carried a valentine theme. Mrs. Quinten Swenson, president jf the Grace Lutheran club, welcomed the group and Mrs. Clifford Christensen led the group devotional period.
