' COLOMA.-!■ *!*Mr. and Mrs. John Pierson, Mrs.Bessie McBride and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Popovich of San Francisco, spent the week-end at the Pierson summer homehere. Mr. Pierson will remain here .some time, repairing damage done to the house by the recent terrific windstorm which swept over the crest of the hill above Coloma. Mrs. Popovich will be remembered as Virginia Loop, who spent a good part of her childhood here.It is reported that Mrs. Hattie Othick Carpenter has leased the old Othick property here, to a couple of gentle- c men from Solano County.Workmen are busy this week re-roving plaster and lathe from the lower floor of the Odd Fellows hall andcreplacing it with plaster wall board and making other improvements. March 1st they expect to give a card party where very elaborate priaes will beiawarded. Mrs. Irma Lawyer is in charge with an able corp of assistants\1Twenty CCC boys are working in Marshall Park this week clearing and]1burning brush* and making fire trails.
