Romance reigns at Center show“The Enduring Romance of Sandusky Bay” continues through February at the Sandusky Cultural Center.The exhibit, documenting the history of passenger boat service to Sandusky, features models, artifacts, paintings and photographs of the historic steamers that served the area.Models of the Put in-Bay, Arrow, and G.A. Boeckling areon display, along with schedules, keys, wheels, bells, whistles and other artifacts.Charles David will discuss the featured crafts at 3 p.m. Sunday. A past district commander of the U.S. Power Squadron and past captain of the G.A. Boeckling II, David is one of the founding members of the board of trustees of the Friends of the Boeckling. His experiences include several trips on the Delta Queen and passage on the maiden voyage of the Mississippi Queen.The exhibit is open from 1 to 4 p.m. Sunday through Friday. The Cultural Center is located at the rear of Sandusky High School, 2130 Hayes Ave., Sandusky. Admission to the exhibit is free.
